Cinnamon Scented Guava Bread

MAKES 1 LOAF

Ingredients:

125g butter

125ml sugar

3 extra large eggs

250ml guava puree

5ml vanilla essence

500ml self-raising flour

Pinch of salt

Bicarbonate of soda

Pinch of cinnamon

Method:

Grease a loaf tin.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.

Add guava puree and vanilla essence.

Sift flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda and cinnamon together.

Add to egg mixture.

Spoon into prepared loaf tin.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180⁰C for 45 minutes or until an inserted skewer comes out clean.

Turn out into a wire rack and leave to cool.

Serve with butter, jam and cheese.
