Guava Bread and Butter Pudding 

 SERVES 4 – 6

Ingredients:

Butter

10 slices white bread or guava bread

1 X 410g can guavas, drained reserve the syrup

125ml raisins

500 – 600 ml milk

2 extra large eggs

Method:

Spread butter onto slices of bread and cut in half.

Arrange overlapping in a greased ovenproof dish.

Arrange guavas in between and scatter the raisins on top.

Make milk up to 750ml using the reserved syrup.

Add eggs and beat well.

Pour over the bread and bake in a preheated oven at 180⁰C for 30 minutes until golden and set.

Serve with cream, ice cream or custard.
