Ingredients:
125ml sugar
2 X 410g cans guavas halves, well drained
125g butter
1 roll puff pastry, thawed
Method:
Sprinkle 100ml of sugar in a heavy based pan suitable for oven use.
Place over medium heat and allow sugar to caramelize.
Remove from heat and place guavas cut side down in pan.
Sprinkle with remaining sugar and dot with butter.
Roll pastry out to 5mm thickness.
Lay pastry over guavas and tuck in the edges.
Bake in a preheated oven at 220⁰C for 20 minutes or until pastry is golden.
Place a serving dish over the Tarte Tatin.
Using oven gloves, flip over quickly.
Serve with cream, custard or ice cream.
